Giving back to our community
JSS Search are committed to truly making an impact in the communities where we live and work. Our aim is to partner with a charity each year and make a positive impact through fundraising and volunteering our time to make a difference. This year, we are supporting The Connection at St. Martins in-the-field. The Connection works with people who are rough sleeping to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London. They work alongside people as they recover from life on the streets and move towards a meaningful, fulfilling future.
In the UK, homelessness is at its highest in Westminster; this is where The Connection has been working for over 100 years. We believe that no one should be on the streets at any time of year.
Our goal is to inspire our employees to give back to the local community while strengthening their commitment to our core business values.
Our partnership
Throughout the year, we will host and take part in several fundraising initiatives in aid of people sleeping rough in Westminster and Central London. Throughout 2022, we are committing to:
- Volunteer our time at The Connection Resource Centre as catering volunteers
- Volunteer with the Recovery and Opportunities team on the mindfulness scheme: Walk and Talk
- Employability training (CV writing, interview tips)
- Valentines and Easter themed raffles
- Multiple bake sales
- Two large events
- Several divisional events
- Along with several other fundraising initiatives
