The challenge

Our client, a global Private Equity fund, was looking to prepare a global asset for exit. Rapid expansion through M&A had created a highly decentralised organisation. Senior leaders needed our help to drive a number of urgent and critical remediation programmes that would maximise value.

The solution

We partnered with the Group CFO, the Group HRD, the Group COO and the Group CCO to deliver a range of key initiatives.

  • For the Group CFO, we appointed a Finance Transformation Programme Director, Group Treasury Consultants and an interim Internal Audit Director.
  • For the Group HRD, we mobilised a cloud ERP implementation team and sourced a Programme Director who was an ex-Big 4 Partner.
  • For the Group COO, we delivered a cost transformation programme and carried out several silent main board CXO searches under an NDA.
  • And, for the Group CCO, we appointed an interim Commercial Director to lead a critical new business development programme.

The impact

Our client saw significant advances in cost centre reporting and controls, and in operational performance management. Our work strengthened the executive board and leadership team and helped identify new revenue-generating opportunities. It also launched the HR Management Systems programme and the finance and digital transformation programmes.

As a result, our client benefitted from major top- and bottom-line improvements that led to EBIT and multiplier growth.
