IAG wished to centralise their procurement functions across their subsidiary businesses to leverage the power of the overall group and become a centre for excellence. They engaged JSS Search to conduct an extensive search for procurement experts at a variety of different levels up to and including Category Leads.
JSS Search were retained on an exclusive basis over a 12-month period to ensure a continuous supply of best-in-class procurement professionals were presented to IAG. These individuals were benchmarked against internal candidates.
We devised a comprehensive search strategy across multiple territories proactively approaching and engaging strategic procurement experts with experience relevant to IAG. We also sought individuals with experience of driving change programmes, forming new teams and ways of working in a matrix business structure. JSS Search mapped over 250 suitable individuals before narrowing our search down to the most suitable for IAGs requirements, working closely with our sponsor at IAG to ensure that the search always remained on track.
We were able to present a strong shortlist to IAG, appointing several individuals over a prolonged period as the new procurement function took shape. Due diligence, including comprehensive referencing, was conducted on all appointees and negotiations were managed by JSS Search to ensure the best outcome for IAG.
